Manufacturing that respects people and the environment

We have chosen a thoughtful production approach. Unlike mass production, we do not produce in large series, which allows us to avoid overstocking and material waste. Each piece is carefully crafted in our workshop, where time and attention to detail are an integral part of the creation process.

At the heart of our workshop, Jérôme, founder of Monsieur J, daily transmits his passion for his craft and respect for leatherworking techniques to his team. Together, they perpetuate a demanding savoir-faire where every step – from cutting the leather to the final assembly – is carried out with precision and patience. Each piece of leather is used carefully to fully enhance its qualities. We ensure that every centimeter is transformed into a durable creation.

Exceptional materials

For us, the quality of an object always begins with the quality of its materials. We have chosen to source exclusively excellent materials from French manufacturers.

Our leathers come from a renowned Alsatian tannery, which also supplies some major leather goods houses. These leathers are selected for their grain, their resistance, and their ability to develop a patina over time, giving each piece a unique character. The buckles we use are manufactured by Maison Poursin, a historic French company specializing in the production of high-quality metal parts. This high standard guarantees the solidity, durability, and elegance of our creations.

Creating objects that stand the test of time

Our vision of leather goods is contrary to the ephemeral: we want objects that develop a patina, that are passed down, and that tell a story over the years. Our creations are designed to be used for a long time, repaired if necessary.
